Lol, you know what is killing the paragon class? Posts like this. Paragon is still very effective, but replies like some of these will make the sheep not accept paragon's into their parties. Paragon is fine, and fun.

LOL, sheep
The poor sheep always think taking alot of elementalists to do aoe makes it easier, but I always have a better time taking some necro hexers and extra paragons. Im nearly legendary survivor and I just rush into mobs not bothering to stay back

Like the OP i'm considering making...err...well...remaking my para actually, I only had her to lvl 15 but I had a great time with it, though i've had fun playing every class...cept for ele's...dunno why....
anyways, I haven't been following para nerfs/buffs but judging from this thread it sounds a lot like fav class the rit, who despite "repeated mindless nerfs" or w/e is still perfectly fun and useful to play, so I'm gonna remake my combat cheerleader again and have at it, after all there's no dead class, just players who can't adapt
lol, oh and p.s. to anyone who cares, what kind of potential do you see in a para w/ a pet?

Paragons are far from a bad profession, if anything they are in the top 3 PvEwise. I can't bring myself to use any of my other characters because they are just not as effective, even with the current cookie cutter build.
As for the pet, I can't see much reason for it. Beast Mastery and Leadership have a very weak synergy, and will probably just be wasted attributes and skill slots.

At first my new Paragon didn't get much love from me,
The running animation on the female model is horrible and I didn't like the male armor ... so much for the visuals ...
But, if there is any class that makes Hard Mode look like a walk in the park ... it's the paragon ... like stated 100 mil times before:
"There is nothing to fear!" + "Save Yourselves!" = /God Mode On
They are fun to play as well ... ranged deep wound? yay!
And yeah, being nerfed with every update is a bit off putting, but you know what? Most of the whinners like GloryFox seem to read a update and go "omg gosh holy shit ... that must suck ... QQ" and don't test it the changes in a game environment. None of those heavy paragons nerfs killed the class ... and to be honest ... I didn't feel much difference after the last update pve and pvp wise - beside the AI Monk being over busy with removing cracked armor -
e-management is still superior (come out an engagement with full energy? oh yeah!)
Paragons are even after 100 nerfs by concept overpowered and are very welcomed in every of my HM groups.
One of my top 3 favorite characters and deffo worth a slot.
Have fun,
Timebandit

On that same token, I can then say that Aggressive Refrain is used at the cost of your elite, for doing a task that can easily be put off to a hero.
And for the record, I run They're on Fire, so it's all G.

Haha, I can see why, I put the wrong skill. I meant to say focused anger.
There's pros and cons of each way of doing it. Either a.) Focused Anger+AR; or b.) Soldier's Fury +a hero using dark fury. you prefer the former, I prefer the latter. We'll just agree to disagree.

Oh I run a D/N with Dark Fury anyway and load up on physicals. Using SY every two attacks when DF is up fuels the rest of the energy skills on my bar.
